Rob and Liz Smith opened zaza brasserie
restaurant & wine bar in February 2008
and have already built up a strong following
of regular clients enjoying fresh, well
presented food in fine surroundings.
Rob has spent 25 years in education at
the countries top catering college teaching
Hospitality and Wines up to Degree level
to tomorrows Restaurateurs. During this
time he has been elected to Chair many
competitions, including the prestigious
World Skills where he was responsible
for co-ordinating and implementing
the biggest
Worldwide competition for all skills
including Catering. Rob also trained
5 of the competitors
representing the UK. Trainer of the Year
in 2000 and co-author of Food and Beverage
Service, a world
best selling publication used extensively
in
catering establishments throughout
the world.

In 2008 Rob and wife Liz, decided to
put this wealth of experience into
practice and selected Wrexham to
open ZAZA Brasserie.
The restaurant is classically designed
and beautifully furnished creating
a warm
and comfortable environment. Add
to this the essential ingredients,
top
quality
chefs and fresh local produce and
prepare yourselves for a memorable
eating experience.
Head Chef, Darren Kirkham, has been
trained at several quality restaurants,
serving
time at The Grosvenor in Chester,
the De Vere Carden Park, The Harwarden
Brasserie and as Head Chef at the
Glynne
Arms.
He
is most ably supported by Daniel
Hughes, a fluent Welsh speaker,
who worked
in Dai Chefs restaurant in Llangollen
and
at Gidleigh
Park, a 2 Michelin Star Restaurant.
They will ensure that the food
matches the
atmosphere and standard of ZAZA
.
