Pale straw green in colour and vibrantly aromatic this wine is like an exotic
infusion of fresh ginger, sweet basil, and lemongrass layered over ripe tropical
and citrus fruits. With great purity of fruit flavours, the palate is mouth-wateringly
juicy yet finishes with a refreshing crispness.
7. Pouilly Fume Chateau de Tracy 2006 £35.25
Loire Valley,France
The winery dates back to the late 14th century. A rich golden colour with lime
and citrus fruits at first, followed by slightly richer melon notes. Big, textured,
with a touch of fatness, there is plenty of concentration on the tingly, fruity
finish- a must for lovers of Loire Valley Sauvignon.

One of the greatmysteries of burgundy is why do people not drink more St. Aubin
? These are great wines that show character and finesse. Light gold in colour
with a suggestion of pink. Open aromas of almond and apricot with flavours of
crystallized orange and pineapple. Mmmm!

Sadly this domaine no longer exists. A family fall-out lead to it being sold
2 years ago. The 2003 vintage is the very last- how sad! The wines are characterised
by intense, fresh cherry flavours that jump out of the glass, and a purity of
fruit that is hard to find elsewhere.
10. Principe de Viana Reserva ‘1423’ 2002 £35.25
Navarra, Spain
Complex nose, blackberries, ripe fruits, creamy, buttery and sweet. Very deep
wine, black cherry fruit, vanilla, mocha, coffee, banana/long length. Aged for
24 months in 80% French and 20% American oak the wine has an extreme richness
and is truly amazing tipple.
11. Chateau d’Angludet 2004, Margaux £39.00 Bordeaux,France
Deep, slightly meaty aroma, complex, with notes of baked fruit. Elegant, perfumed,
herby with ripe, firm grainy tannins. Almost feminine in character and drinking
majestically well now. A superb Chateau producing world class wines.
